DROID X WITH NEW OTA GINGERBREAD

Postby skyskioc » Fri Jun 10, 2011 9:47 pm

Does anyone know if you can SBF back to 2.3.340 from the new gingerbread ota update. I tried to do it with RSD Lite and ran into a problem. I was able to use the new Gingerbread SBF file to get my phone back up and running. All good now with the phone but I want to go back to FROYO 2.3.340 and root and then install rooted gingerbread. Any help would be nice. Thanks

there are several ways. can you burn an iso to a cd?

if so, there's a live CD that you can boot to. once it boots to the desktop, you just double click a file & it will auto sbf your phone back to full stock froyo :)

I used RSD Lite 4.9 with all the latest driver updates on my laptop runnning Windows Vista. Then I downloaded the file: VRZ_MB810_2.3.34_1FF_01.sbf I then extracted it to my desktop. I also went on Youtube and followed step by step a video posted by XDroidRom Look for the video called DROID X complete SBF Guide. This video is done step by step and is by far the best video out there to get back to stock FROYO 2.3.340 He explains everything in detail. It worked flawlessly. I can now go back to FROYO 2.3.340 or Gingerbread 4.5.596 I am now rooted with wireless tether and all kinds of superuser apps. I am also running LIBERTY GINGERBREAD v0.7. This thing is lightning fast...................
