How did I miss this?

I've had my wonderful Droid 1 (aka Moto Droid) since January 2010 and all of a sudden I'm reading here about an 'OG Droid'...what the heck is that and where have I been to have missed this? Everybody obviously knows what it is as I see references to it everywhere, but I am clueless. Please explain. Thanks.

Stands for Original Droid, so its just the Droid 1 and since they droid 2 and the x came out, this is what its being referred to.
