droid 2.2 system update???

My brother called me up saying that he was receiving a system update so I check my phone out and its also running an update its 77.0mb big and once the update is done it re-updates by itself and its killing my battery, both of us are using the droidlife froyo nandroid zip thing. anyone else check there system update? and having this problem what can I do to fix it??
