I don't fully understand what a "Rom" is. Is it custom theme kinda or what? I have launcherPro Plus and totally love it. I did like the original sense UI, but once I found out about customizing, I was hooked! Is that what a "Rom" gets me?

ROM: Literally, "Read Only Memory." In Android, it's what you load for a major software update. "Custom ROMs" are just that -- developed outside control of a manufacturer or carrier.
