lag issue

I love my DroidX and most of the time it works great. But sometimes it gets really laggy. Im using launcherPro as my home laucncher and not too many other apps. Im wondering if my issue is coming from having ADW installed and using the themes from there as my wall paper. Would this cause a problem?
