Droid X text message time problems

I have 2.2 on my Droid X, not rooted.


As you can see from the LP widget, the time received of that last text message is not the actual time, it is 4 hours behind. So I thought it was probably just a problem with the widget. But in my notifications, it says the time for the text was at 6:03. It only has this 4 hour difference for text messages, all other notifications display the right time.

But when I go into my messaging app, the time is what it is supposed to be:



Any ideas what the problem could be?

Good question...what bootloader system and baseband versions are on that device and where did you get the 2.2 from?

I just used the update.zip that was posted on Droid-Life a few weeks back.

I know the risks of updating to leaked and not final builds, but I find it strange that I am the only one that would have run into this..

You don't need to be rooted to use the update.zip of the leaked build. You can install it through stock recovery.

You're not the only one. There are a bunch of threads in other forums about this, and no real overarching fix. For me, the stock messaging app has it right, but the time is wrong in the notifications dropdown as well as when you look at the contact history through contacts.
