Droid2 Exchange Pin

Droid2 Exchange Pin

Postby bebop15a2 » Wed Sep 01, 2010 8:51 am

Hi,

I just received my DROID2 yesterday and I'm having trouble disabling the pin that some Exchange servers enforce. I spent an hour on the phone with Motorola, which was shockingly no help. Does anyone know of a way to disable entering a pin when you unlock the screen. The password requirement has been disabled on my Exchange server for over 6 months. My HTC Touch Pro2, Droid Eris, and DROID1 all didn't force me to enter a pin, just my new D2. Any ideas?

From what I've seen unfortunately this is a system requirement- not sure if it's Froyo, "Blur", or where the fault lies, but adding an Exchange account seems to require a PIN. Period. :(

It's definitely not froyo, since on my D1 I was connected to our Exchange server and didn't need to have a pin. It appears to be MotoBlur.
