Skype UPDATE 1.5.0.4 WiFi?

Some folks came across the newest Skype update and found that WiFi calling seems to be enabled. This is in fact incorrect, best I can tell, the update only allows you to keep your WiFi enabled during calls(which is a great feature) but calls still go through Big Red's 3G network. I really wish we'd get true WiFi calling but I'm not convinced that'll ever happen.

I do hope that Google(or a 3rd party developer) releases an app to enable Gmail calling on the mobile, might have to wait until hell freezes over though.

Skype without wifi is just so stupid. There really isn't any point. Do people really care about call minutes any more anyway? It's been easily 3 years since I've even approached my monthly minute limit.

They will never enable Wi-Fi for this app. They would not be able to make money on your calls if they did that. If I could go to Mexico..enable Wi-Fi and make free calls? Wow that would be great...but like I said..it will never happen.
